Hussain Sajwani CEO and Founder Of DAMAC Properties

Hussain Sajwani was born in the year 1952/53. He is the developer of an Emirate billionaire property, as well as the founder and chairman of DAMAC properties, which is a real estate development company. During the Forbes 2017 Global 2000 list, DAMAC Properties was the leading real estate company. This list showed the fastest developing international firms based on their total rate of revenues growth annually from 2013 to 2016.

Hussain Sajwani is a son of a former entrepreneur, who owned a shop from where he traded watches, Parker pens, shirts together with other commodities from China. He was lucky to have acquired a government scholarship to study in the United States and being among the first few students to obtain a scholarship, and he studied at the University of Washington for his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Economics.

Hussain Sajwani began his career in the department of finance in the year 1981 in Abu Dhabi Gas Industries. After two years, he began his venture in catering, with clients who included the U.S. military and Bechtel. That venture remains operational to date and is now known as Global Logistics Services.

Sajwani then put up the DAMAC Properties back in 2002. It is among the most significant property development companies in the Middle East. DAMAC properties have established about 19,000 residential apartments since its creation, and still got 44,000 more which are under different points of development. DAMAC properties received a publicly-listed having its shares traded in 2015 on the Dubai Financial Market

DAMAC Properties owns some great projects which include a golf course, that was designed by Tiger Woods and is run by The Trump Organization, luxury residentials having their interiors by Italian fashion-houses Versace and Fendi, other luxury villas which are styled by Bugatti, as well as Paramount Hotels and Resorts being in partnership with the Paramount Pictures.

Hussain Sajwani (@hussainsajwani) did invest £600 million in London, UK, through its Versace-branded Aykon London One tower found in Nine Elms. He was then put among the 100 top influential Arabs worldwide by Gulf Business in 2017.

Hussain Sajwani lives in Dubai with his wife and four kid. His son, Ali Sajwani, graduated with a bachelor degree in economics at the North Eastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and was made the general manager of operations at DAMAC Group. He was listed as one of Middle East’s Future Stars by the Arabian Business Achievement Awards held in 2017 and organized by Arabian Business.
